Very different from a ‘regular’ grain of salt, the unique structure allows food and snack manufacturers the ability to increase flavor and consumer satisfaction, while also reducing total sodium. The flakes were specifically formulated and crystallized to easily and more readily adhere to the surface of food products, snacks, pretzels, and more. Their unique shape boasts several times the surface area of a standard grain of table salt, producing a pop of salty flavor without all of the sodium.

Pacific Blue Flake is perfect for tortilla chips, pretzels, spice rubs and cheese production. The pyramid crystals provide extra saltiness on the palate and offer enhanced adherence over traditional granular salts. Their 3-D shape allows them to ‘stand up’ off of the hard surface of a chip, cracker, or a pretzel, and produces a better pop of salt flavor upon consumption.
