What is in the Spice Set?

  • Kalonji seed

Also called black cumin, Kalonji seed has a powerful aroma and is a popular spice throughout India.

  • Garam Masala

A true Indian staple, this traditional Northern Indian spice blend’s potent aromatic herbs that add flavor and fragrance and are often used to garnish.

  • Asafoetida – Asafetida

The strong onion-garlic flavor is a favorite in vegetarian Indian dishes. Add sparingly to your cooking liquid, frying oil, or steep in water.
One caveat is that this spice can often contain gluten.

  • Amchoor

  • Kala Namak

Also called Black Salt is actually a pinkish gray mineral salt with the distinct sulfurous taste of hard-boiled eggs. It’s used as a condiment and added to dishes like chaat and other savory Indian foods.

  • Punjabi Curry

Known as the “dish of sunshine goodness,” this spice hails from the Punjab region of India and Pakistan and is best suited for hearty stews and curries.
