Cubeb Berry

Cubeb berries are the unripe fruits plant belonging to the pepper family and an alternative to black pepper. They are hot, bitter and pungent, with traces of camphor and nutmeg in their aroma. Often described as a cross between allspice and black pepper, they go well with meat, cheese, vegetable and most Indonesian dishes.

Medicinal: Considered a carminative, diuretic, expectorant, stimulant, and antiseptic. Cubeb Berry has been shown to be effective in easing the symptoms of chronic bronchitis.
